چکیده
Objectives : To identify and estimate the non-point source (NPS) pollution loads in Yongdam watershed, to take an appropriate NPS management plan suitable for environmental conditions of sub-basin watershed. Methods The pollutant watershed was investigated establish hydrological simulation program-fortran (HSPF) model study area so that characteristics runoff were simulated. Furthermore, detailed catchment subject selected effect reducing examined based on various results. Results Discussion three sub-basins, including specific component catchments, according load intensity distribution pollution. result analyzing flowing into downstream by rainfall revealed accounted 11.8~19.9% dry season, Jinan-cheon high range 10~30 mm while Janggye-cheon junction showed a 30~60 mm. In addition, duration curve (LDC) excess frequency BOD when flow rate increased at end stream each sub-basin, whereas T-P entire range. LDC analysis led us water quality affected point pollutants complex way. When ground cover farm installed selecting 10 catchments with need management, reduction estimated be reduced 325.256~995.912 g/d 1279.813~3327.513 1316.831~3555.443 sub-basin.Conclusion Through experiments using HSPF model, it feasible select control detail evaluate

non point source pollution modeling and critical area priority for environmental management of tajan watershed
non-point pollution are an important factor in determining water quality and eutrophication of fresh water. the principle causes of this issue is high concentrations of nutrients in the water especially nitrogen and phosphorus. change of land use particularly affected on water nitrate load. therefore, understanding the correlations between land use and nitrate pollutant is a priority in order t...
متن کاملIdentifying Critical Sources and Evaluate the Best Management Practices to Control Nutrient Load of the Dez River Basin Using the SWAT Model
Using the best management strategies (BMPs) is a useful way to control pollutions at the watershed outlets, which, of course, requires spending costs. Prioritizing these strategies (especially in areas with scarce resources) will greatly contribute to the efficiency and adequacy of these methods in terms of reducing pollution and their application in critical areas. In this research, the SWA...
متن کاملThe effects of watershed management practices on runoff production using SCS model in Anbaranchay watershed
Watershed management has different effects on the amount of runoff and sediment and alteration ofhydrological features in a watershed. In this study, the effects of watershed management on runoff was investigated in the Anbaranchaywatershed. For this purpose, the topography data in format of a digital elevation model, land use, soil hydrological groups and watershed managemetrigeon, and also usi...
متن کاملEvaluation of non-point source pollution reduction by applying best management practices using a SWAT model and QuickBird high resolution satellite imagery.
This study evaluated the reduction effect of non-point source pollution by applying best management practices (BMPs) to a 1.21 km2 small agricultural watershed using a SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model. Two meter QuickBird land use data were prepared for the watershed. The SWAT was calibrated and validated using daily streamflow and monthly water quality (total phosphorus (TP), total ...

Farming imposes unenthusiastic externalities upon society. It effects by differ‐ ent sources such as loss of biodiversity, land erosion, nutrient overflow, more water usage and pesticides. Optimistic externalities include respect of nature, independence, free enterprise, and the quality of air. Natural methods decrease some of these costs. It has been proposed that organic farming can reduce th...
